Default Question about WiFi

Please Login to Remove!

Hi everyone,
Okay so I just bought an unlocked 8320 with wifi.. and i can connect to my home's wireless network.. from reading these posts I can see that because I'm located in Toronto and have not purchased a Rogers data plan.. I will always get a negative yellow symbol besides my wireless network..

So my question is... how do I know if my brower is using the WiFi connection or if it's using my cell-phone provider's data? I'm worried that when i surf the internet i'll be racking up a huge bill when I think that it was wifi all along...
I'm especially concerned bc if i read the manual correctly.. the wifi icon on my home screen should NOT be greyed out..

I've already connected to the internet and was surfing some webpages so i just need some confirmation that I'm actually using wifi to surf and not the super expensive data..

Thanks!!!

First there are many threads about this. Only way to be 100% sure is to turn off mobile network under manage connections. Also in your browser preferences set the browser to WiFi Browser.

By changing to WiFi Browser you should be protected but of course I can not say 100%.
