I have a new email alert for my gmail that does not disappear even though I have open all emails. I have pulled the battery, deleted the email and re-entered and I still have the same problem.

in the title it says folder, wheras you mention alert.
i assume you mean a folder icon on the home screen that is an alert?
a battery pull usually fixes it
have you looked through all the folders?

Mine seems to do this on occasion when I get an email that has pictures inside. After deleting the email, the email icon remains. A reset or battery pull does the trick but it is an annoyance. This is the one downfall I've found with this phone as my Curve did not do this. I love this phone so I'm adjusting to it

yes it is the the notification on the home screen.

I am sure it's gmail, when I look at the home screen, the icon for my gmail account has 1 unread message

I have BES and all my folders are Lotus notes, where would I find the gmail folder?
