I'm using 9800 Torch, and i've just moved to LA. Here i've got a new carrier and never get 3G, always EDGE. So it's Ok but here is the problem: i can't use internet browser!! when i open it, it says "please contact your service provider..." I've contacted them and they installed Oprah in it. Yeah it works but i can't use some applications like facebook and i can't make it default browser, it causes so many effects, for example downloadin, and some sites doesn't recognize if is that blackberry or not. My phone has became very useless. If anybody knows, what is going on? please help me.

Do you have a BB dataplan active on your account?

Also, switching from AT&T to T-mobile means you will never get 3g service on your Torch.

Call your carrier and confirm that a BB data plan is active on your account, a generic data plan is inssuficiant.
