Default Torch 9810 won't turn on

Please Login to Remove!

I just finished recharging and it was lit up. I laid it down and it is now black and will not turn on. Help.

What did you do just before this happened, other than charge it?

Have you let the battery run down past 20% more than a few times?

Have you tried a battery pull? With device on, remove the battery for 30-60 seconds, replace it and see if the device will reboot.

Also try keeping the BB powered via either the AC charger or the PC. If the BB works power connected then try a new battery.

Taking the battery out worked and I have since let it run down for the 1st time. Really appreciate the help.

Pulling the battery works wonders for a lot of smart phones including the Blackberry.

Also keep in mind about the discharge advice on the battery, they dont last long if allowed to run below 25% a few times.

Do not let the battery get below 20%. Letting it run down regularly can (and will) damage the battery and you will have to replace it. A Lithium battery seems to work best if you keep it topped up when you are near a power source.
