Hi Guys,

My partners just bought a 8250 Curve on the O2 network. She has had this unlocked as her sim is with Orange.
From this problems have occured with the Internet Service and BBM.
Problems with Internet relate to Wi-Fi, there is a connection (as i am writing this) but using any browser (Firefox or IE) it times out and says couldnt connect to server?
As for BBM it isnt sending or receiving messages, all that shows on the device is the red clock image for waiting?
Current software is v5.0.0.681

Does your partner have a blackberry data plan on the service account?

Not that I am aware of?
Shes replaced her contract phone for the BB as it was broken, so i take it she has to call Orange and set up the service account and this will resolve the issues?

She will not be able to use blackberry messenger (BBM) or any blackberry/RIM data apps without it. If she wants to use BBM, that's what she needs to do. And it is blackberry-specific data service, not whatever general mobile data service.

HEEEEEEEEEEELPPPPP PLEEEEAAASEEE. Hi I am Alberto and I am studying in costa rica, I have a bb 8250 and I want to use it with the wifi connection, the browser works well but the messenger is like I dont know. Each time I try to send a message it appears a red clock instead of the d or r. Please help me because I need it to talk with my friends and family.

You need a blackberry data plan to use messenger.

But my friends can use it and they have exactly whatt I have. Whe had data plans in Ecuador and we are not using roaming, but the wi fi connection. I can use the browser but the bb messenger isn't working. They dont have any problems using both
