The video camera applet is included in the 4.5.xxx releases of the OS.

You'd have to use the instructions in thread at the top of the curve section and update to 4.5.x OS and then you can do it. once you do the OS upgrade then when you have the camera open you just hit the menu key and select video.

I downloaded that OS update and now have a video camera option. Must have a media card installed to record videos.

I'm gonna take a guess and say,
1. It may be telling it to save to a media card....
or
2. Since usually video files are larger then pictures, it may require a media card.

I have the newest OS a media card and i can record video just fine. If I am wrong someone please correct me. These are just my thoughts.

Yes, a media card is required. You can find them dirt cheap if you look in the right place.

The 8330's with OS 4.3.127 also have the video recorder.

First you go back to the top of this section... General 8300 Series Discussion - Curve - BlackBerryForums.com : Your Number One BlackBerry Community Then, select the proper link for the phone you have. After that, read all the instructions carefully and THEN install the new OS.
