So I am still running 3.6.2a do I need to upgrade to 4.1 before I can fix the dST problem?

At the moment, it seems to be so. All patches are for 4.0.x and above.

you don't have to upgrade the BES because of DST. We are still on 3.6. You have to apply the new CDO.DLL file on the server and then patch your handhelds. The handhelds are what has to be at 3.8 or higher to receive the patch from Rim

agreed, you don't have to upgrade to 4.0. We are running 3.6 and simply did the Exchange DST patch that has the new CDO.DLL. Only odd behavior we found was that accepting appointments on the blackberry would show up as red x's. We updated to 3.6.7 and it's all fine now.
