Clarify. Synch is working from outlook to device. Sync is not working from device to outlook?

Who is your admin user and which groups does he belong to?

Default I have same problem calendar sync problem

my conf: BES 4.1.2.25 installed on a small business server + exchange. ( I know not the best but only 4 users and the computer is very fast )

Everything works except I cannot get the calendar in the handheld to sync with the exchange server calendar. The user uses outlook 2003.

I have checked and rechecked permissions and that does not seem to be the problem.

error reported without timestamps is:

[Alarm::ActivateAlarm] Queuing alarm: <N/A> | BlackBerry Messaging Agent JOSEPH Agent 1 (Application Event Log on JOSEPH) | 10/20/2006 15:09:53 (AFFF4EF8) -> {jzel@XXXX.org} Synchronize() failed: ERR_FAIL, Tag=2304

and in the MAGT log file

{jzel@XXXX.org} Unable to launch CDO helper in SynchronizeHelper
{jzel@XXXX.org} Unable to process message with LongTermEntryId=0 in SynchronizeHelper
{jzel@XXXX.org} Synchronize() failed: ERR_FAIL, Tag=2304

make sure the CDO versions match on both servers. Check exchange\bin folder on BOTH servers.

Is the service user is a full admin??? Believe it or not, full admin rights break the calendar functionallity.. Go back to the docs and set the serviced account to the EXACT permissions stated there...

I'm using MS Server 2003 SBS and BES 4.1. I have sync'd wirelessly since day one with no issues. I know my CDO and MAPI version are the same.

My CDO and MAPI32 versions are: 6.5.7226.0

We are running SBS 2003 w/Exchange on an IBM RAID1 server and on a Dell 3100 PC (fairly lowend/cheap, but new), the BES 4.1 on Server 2003 (full version). I wanted them seporate.

The only other thing I did not do is setup Auto Update or download any of the MS patches for the Dell/BES server. We run what I consider a fairly safe network, so I was not conserned about having the latest patches on the BES server.

All and all, it works very well with no issues. What CDO/MAPI version are you using?

I have a question in this vein. We're running SBS2003 and BES 4.1 as well. I upgraded from a 7130e to an 8703e and my calendar did not come over. I can create new appointments on the BB and Outlook and they now sync. Is there any way to force a synchronization from the BES so I can get my existing meetings from Outlook over to my BB? I notice too, when setting up new users, the BES only syncs up the last week or so of email. Any way to force it to sync more than that?

Maybe re-apply the persmissions on the BES admin accounts.
