Default Blackberry deleting SMS, Messenger chats, MSN etc.

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

I have a 8330 that keeps deleting my SMS texts, BBM conversations, MSN conversations, as well as call logs.

I've looked around on the net already for a solution and most people just say "Oh, get a memory card and move all of your pictures, music, etc. on to it." Done that. The other option I've come across is doing a battery pull which I've already done many times. I don't understand what has happened recently, because I used to be able to keep SMS messages, MSN and BBM conversations for months and now it randomly toasts messages after a couple of days, sometimes I can keep them longer though.

The only programs I have installed on it are Facebook, UberTwitter and Windows Live Messenger, as well as having updated to the latest version of BBM. I've had these programs for a LONG time now, though, long before the deletion problem appeared. The OS is version 4.5.0.

I would check your free space.
Blackberrys will delete your messages when free space is low.

I have a memory card in there with almost nothing on it. It's a 2 gig (really 1.8GB) card with 1.8GB free. Small files on it, and nothing in the device memory.

File Free: 32136075 Bytes
The total size of all databases on the phone is 1271.2K

It seems to just be getting worse and worse each day. I had I think 173 SMS messages at one point yesterday, and now I have 103, because it randomly decided "Oh, they're gone!!" I don't get it! There is copious amounts of free space on this phone! I'm going to try and rip out the memory card in the phone and see if that helps. This all started I believe, when I put that card in.
