Question blackberry data plan?

Please Login to Remove!

i have a contract on a nokia n97 phone and wanted to put my sim in a unlocked pay as you go blackberry, and i hear that i can only use blackberry messenger if i had THE blackberry data plan. i was now wondering if anyone knows whether my company would allow me to buy the blackberry data plan as they think i have a nokia N97? and whether it is possible to buy the blackberry data plan as an add on without being on a blackberry contract? thanks

You would need to talk to your company regarding that, especially if they pay the bill.
Also, it would depend on the carrier whether they offer add-ons to current contracts etc.

ok.
They don't care what phone you have, they don't know what phone you have.
You could change phones every week and they wouldn't care.
Call them up and ask for the blackberry internet service, they should be able to add it on to your current contract.

I would just say be sure you know what BB Messenger is. You do know it only communicates between Blackberries? Most people do not have a Blackberry.

Your network does know what phone your sim is in, but they don't care unless the phone's IMEI is blacklisted, that's something to beware of when buying a used phone.

Some carriers will automatically add a blackberry data plan if they detect the BB. You may not like the plan they give you so make the call first.
