Unhappy Warranty issue with ATT bold

Please Login to Remove!

Hi All,

Just got an unlocked ATT bold I drooped it on the first day and the screen went blank on the left side from top to bottom. and there is green and red lines there.

does anyone know if the warranty is void because I unlocked it? or should I lock it back to ATT before I call them or send it back?

will I have any problem since I'm not an ATT customer?

please help I cant wait to start using the bold!!

Thanks In advance,

That's not a warranty issue. Warranties do not cover damage, only manufacturer defect. You might just have to buy a new LCD for $92 from Cellular Accessories - Motorola, 3G, Microsoft, LG, Acer, Dopod/O2, Nokia, Accessories Store, Samsung,

If you didnt buy it through ATT with their contract Im pretty sure they arent going to fix it since you cant get insurance on it anyways. Besides warranty covers manufacturers defects not owner abuse.

But to answer your question; no, unlocking the SIM does not void a warranty... generally speaking. But it doesn't appear you are qualified for warranty service anyway.
