Question Cant Access Internet

Please Login to Remove!

Hey guys, new here. Just got a BB Bold yesterday and im having some trouble accesing the internet on it. Wi-Fi works great but I keep getting:

"You are not currently in an area that can handle data communication. As a result, the Browser cannot retrieve any web pages. Please try again when you are in a different location, or contact your service provider if the problem persist"

I know internet works cause my moms BlackJack get internet and I tried it in another location and it still doesnt work. I have the ATT Blackberry plan yet when I go to the Manage connection> Services Status it says:

BlackBerry Internet Service Connection: not connected
BlackBerry Enterprise Server Connection: not connected

Mobile Network 3G (but it shows no bars)

Mobile Network Provider At&T

My SIM card says 3G but its an old cingular one BTW and I have tried pulling the battery out and everything.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
Steven

Do you have a BB data plan?

Did you have ATT provision the BB and send service books?

Did you try while leaving the device on and pull the battery for about 30 seconds, then reinsert the battery and let the BB reboot.

Sounds like a network coverage problem. You're in an area that doesn't support a data connection. Have you had this problem in more than one location?
