MediaNet works, OperaMini, Bolt works, too. WiFi is faster but Edge is ok, too, on the 8900.

I noticed, accidentally that my 8900 will auto change time zones. 8310 wouldn't. Is it from .130 or a basic function of the 8900?

Anyone face the same problems? Waiting for new release. 5.0 looks cool with better icons and interface......
Not here, I'm VERY fond of the new browser, it displays non-mobile websites much better, and the tabs are excellent. I've had zero issue switching between WIFI and 3G when using the browser.

I am officially giving up on .130 and going back to .100. Here's hoping I no longer have issues with random re-boots on that version, that e-mail works correctly again, that themes play nicely with it and text messaging works all the time rather than in fits and starts.

I've been considering the same thing. I keep hoping for a new leak that fixes the network disconnects and email/PIN issues. Everything else I can deal with.

*nods* Well my Berry seems to have totally decided to crap on me or I effed something up during the downgrade because I am getting uncaught exception errors with .100, too, so I am going all the way back to 4.6 at this point to see if I can get the thing to function correctly again. Sigh. Ah, well, this is one of the joys of testing beta releases, eh?

Went back to 4.6 . I loved the OS (although it had a few foibles), but it was chewing up battery life in a way I couldn't tolerate.

I have no issues with .130! My 8900 is optimized, running 150.4 mb. BBM 5.0 won't run on it but BBM 4.7 is chugging along just fine. I can wait until RIM releases a BBM that's compatible with OS 5.0 ...

Can't help but think the problems others are having with OS 5.0 is apps related. (OperaMini is my only 3rd party.) Might be a theme? Process of elimination should tell which one.

I have BBM 5.0.0.8 running on .130 without issue..........

I finally gave up on 130 and fell back to 4.6.1.250 -- but I've had BBM5 on 130 working fine, and again on 4.6.250 working just fine. Very nice indeed.

It turns out BB 5.0.0.8 was the source of my problems all along ... not just with this OS but with all the others. So, I figure for now, BBM 5 is not meant for my Berry. But I'm glad it's working for you!

In any case, last night I wiped, re-loaded with the radio off and memory card out and finally .130 is working perfectly again. All my troubles started when I got BBM 5 and with it gone the thing is functioning correctly again. I am happy. I like .130 the best anyway.

Wirelessly posted (8310 (unl))

Overkill, congrats on your success with BBM 5...did you make any "adjustments" to get it to work?

Nope. Just installed it via the OTA link I found via google.

Ah. I see. Well, this didn't work for me because I have an at&t Bold and upgrading to .130 gets rid of the BlackBerry browser therefore I could not download BBM 5 via an OTA link. This must not be an issue with Rogers branded Bolds.
I tried to do the browser fix I found out in BBforumsland but it didn't work so I did the install via DM and I am sure that is what hosed things for me. So, it's all good. No BBM 5 for me. For now.

Bumping time. Which newer version has tabbed browsing?

YES, I've tried searching this forum.
(And I'm kinda getting tired of .130 resetting while trying to upload a pic to Flickr.)
