Did not work in 130 also.

Or, is this only happening to me ?
When I open address book, I have a "Find:" bar at the top with a name entry field, and a list of names below it. I can either scroll the list, or start typing a name in the field at the top. This works just fine. Is that what you meant by "search"?

No, i meant the global search function,
Where you can search for a string in mail/adress book/notes/calendar.

OK -- I just tried it (using 190 on my 8900). Global search *acts* as if it's working when I tick just the "Contacts" item as a search target, but the results of the search are wrong -- completely wrong.

Good catch!

Alarm works for my 8900 but I had to tweak the volume. Coming from 4.6 I didn't realize there were 10 volume options and not just Low/Med/High. The default was pretty low.

What I miss is the ability to type in the time of the alarm I want instead of scrolling through the "wheel of fortune" type list

What are you using for the alarm tone? I noticed when trying to pick one out that the included tones that start with "Tune_" do not seem to play when I hover over them or even when I click "Try It." I usually have a few MP3 files I use, I just happened to run across that problem too. Looks like the Tune_ files don't play through the music player either.

So does anyone know how to get Internet Browser back? I may have to revert to 4.6 if I can't get this resolved. Resending the service books does nothing.

Anyone know how to get the "search" field back in the browser in the screen when you hit "Go To" from the menu? I used to use that a lot in 4.6

Is there a spot to adjust voice recording quality? The quality in 4.6 was great, now it sounds like I'm underwater. I made a test call to an answering machine to verify it wasn't just my microphone. I guess they changed the compression?

The "go to" field is part of the browser issue I'm having. In your browser options, you should be able to have "internet browser" as an option. However, it's missing and I'm left with "hotspot browser" which will only connect via wifi and then there's medianet.

I forget what the difference is (no file size restriction?) but MediaNet should work fine. You can get to the Go To menu as well, you just can't set it as your start page (annoying, yes) Is there something else the Internet browser does differently?

For anyone that updated to .190 and then missed out on the YouMail update that was released over App World, I got my buddy to extract it from his phone and send it to me. Here's a link to it if anyone needs it:

I've also noticed that my media player no longer works on my phone. Is anyone else having this issue?

btw, I had to do the browser fix on my bold in order to get it to work. This consisted of downloading some of the ATT service books online and running crackutil.

Still can't get my media player to work though.

media player works fine for me too...on my 8900 with 190. I'm getting the distinct impression that there are a few more issues with the Bold running 190 than than 8900 has with this particular release...
