Hello all.
I just switched to the Torch from my older htc model. I was able to listen to Howard Stern and other Sirius channels using the app on the htc phone.
Is there a Sirius/XM app for the 9800/Torch that works currently. Please advise and THANK YOU in advance.

It's not - that why I was asking. nothing is compatable with the Torch yet.

You can try downloading the one for the Storm since it is touch screen.

I too cannot access my XM/Sirius account....I deleted it and tried downloading for the Storm but I still get an a pop up saying "service is temporarily unavailable....please try again later..." Also, unfortunately Howard Stern is not availale on the BB, I don't know why...

I should have looked into this more before I purchased the phone. I listened to the Howard Stern show every morning at the gym on my htc phone. This sucks right now.

It could also be the sirius website. I listen to NPR on the internet and it is buggy most of the times.

Big time sucks....I've thought about buying a portable mp3/xm sirius player for that reason...which phone did you have before this? Even the iPhone doesn't doesn't offer Howard Stern....go figure

Stern isn't on any mobile device. He did not reach a deal with Sirius/XM to put his show on the mobile app.

I listened to Stern on Sirius for over a year on my AT&T htc Fuze (touch pro) using one of the available Sirius windows mobile apps. So he WAS online and I was able to listen to him on my AT&T phone. I listened every single morning at the gym.

Also he IS on the online streaming Sirius player so all we need is an app that plays the Sirius online player.

With it would come out SOON.

Anyone getting the Sirius/XM app to work yet? I keep checking for an App compatibLe with the Torch and so far nothing....I've downloaded for the Storm and the Bold but still get the try again later messAge.....I listen to Stern online also....if we had a flash player on the BB we'd be able to access the online player...

I figure that they still need to create the app to be able to run on Blackberry 6. I would think this will be happening soon.

I think some of the Sirius XM apps were not officially sanctioned and the developer got a cease and decist. There was also an iphone app.

There is a way using Orb(?) that requires a PC at home connected to your SiriusXM account and it uses a popular on-line radio player. It is discussed in this forum somewhere, I think in the software section. Try doing a search, the discussion was probably over a year ago

Stern resigned today and SAID on his show that there would be blackberry apps for his show and sirius - so what is the deal with the torch and there being an app FOR THE TORCH
