Default Memory card usage ?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

What are the beneifts of putting a memory card into the Curve for my needs?

I assume that all media can be saved to the card - Don't use it for media.

Would filed email be stored on the card ? - I file about 20 emails a day.

Whats the internal memory size on a 8310?

Does anything else get saved to memory card if required??

Cheers

Rob.

Memory cards are just for media/music/ringtones.

All current BB's have 64mb device memory.

It is worth checking your file free space from time to time as low memory can result in emails, sms & call logs disaapearing.
To check your file free space go to options > status.

when I look at Options->Status I get:

File Free: 7,534,352
File Total: 54,919,168

So, does this tell me that I have 7.5MB Free space and 54MB used?

I have an 8GB Memory card installed.
Where is all my memory going?

Or how do I check usage on the card. Maybe this is just the internal memory.

The numbers you've posted are strictly internal.54mb total, 7.5 free... That's not very much free space. You should look into the guides on this site regarding clearing some memory. RE: you memory card, I believe you can only use that memory for media.

You can use the tips for freeing memory detailed here: How do I free up memory on my device? - BlackBerryFAQ

You can also use the BB Desktop Manager app to remove language files, etc. you do not use.
