arul,
am searching on ebay, there are some, but trying to find the best deal I can get of course including shipping. If I don't, then will wait for the release on BB website. I can order through a friend of mine or my brother who's studying in the states. They can ship me me then.
When I ordered the Curve POD & Leather Holster, i only paid the price he paid for the stuff & shipping to him, which was free for orders above $75 or so. Getting it back here to M'sia, a friend of his was making a trip back to kampung. So tumpang kirim la. hehehe.... just treated the lady to lunch! ehehehe... this time around, let's hope someone will make the trip back, can save on international postage which is quite pricey. :p

gfunk11 - thanks for info. hopefully Soleen manages to bring the items in so we can get our stuff here instead of having to ship it in from overseas.
only thing is i wonder if our dear government will impose ridiculous taxes on these items!

Hey, if anyone is interested I have an extra OEM Bold "Glossy" battery backcover going for RM75/= (delivered to KL/PJ COD). Original price was USD49.98 plus delivery! I decided to keep my "leatherette" backcover.
Check it out at horizonwirelessonline.com for image - or PIN me and I'll send the image over. New and unused!

hey - is anyone having trouble with some html emails? I keep getting errors on some emails where there is a little red "x" sign. I have to select plain text to view even the text contents and download attachments to view images/pics etc. This doesnt seem to happen to all html emails.
Edit : never mind - i think this problem is reported in another thread.

firmware .147 - improve batt life
I notice that some of the users here have got this firmware. My battery live sucks big time. Took off the charger about 8 am. Using 3G for mails and checking some websites and making calls (45mins total) 15 (sms) by 2pm 55% left. Not a good sign. I tried downloading from links found in the forums which leads me to the official site. Download is a pain and gets cut off all the time. Anybody know where else I can get this firmware.
TIA.

Haha...nice find, bro !
The lady in front blocked my 'handsome' face unfortunately...haha !
Yeah, I guess it's no rocket science to figure out who arul is, hehehe...we're the indian brudders...HAHA !!!!
I'm in China at the moment, and roamin on the Bold is a breeze, unfortunately China does not, yes you read that right, DOES NOT have 3G...so my Bold's on EDGE...but no problems sending or receiving emails/SMS...
Hey, did you guys who said about the email delivery problem (red 'x' mark)....did that happen yesterday night..? Because I too had trouble sending out an email last night for about 30 mins or so...after that, it went thru...
Maybe it was an outage at that point probably...

Guys, for those of you wanting to upgrade and getting firmware's and stuff...please be very very careful about what you plan on doing...
i mean, if your phone is working fine, why unnecessary upgrade and add on stuff for..?
If your phone really has problems, easy...walk into Maxis and get a new unit replaced...
Oh yes, I've done it before with my Curve...my camera didnt work about 3 months after I bought it, and I walked into Maxis KLCC and got it checked...customer service guy said I had to send it in fo repairs..and I basically told him to go screw himself and that for a product under warranty, if there is a defect, I should be given a new unit...
And he did...picked up my new replacment unit after 2 days...
Just my .02

The problems mentioned here aren't actually because of any defects with singular sets. Many people have mentioned the battery drain problem. It's a software problem and upgrades will (hopefully) be on the way!!
But yeah, I agree, if there's a hardware problem, definitely take the unit back to whoever you bought it from and get a replacement unit.

Try change the "ip" to "IP" capital letter and also on the dial up properties under security tab, select advance and Data encryption use 'Optional Encryption (XXXX)' and under Allow These Protocol check unencrypted password (PAP) only, the rest un-checked.
This works for me using XP Pro.

Yep, I got one too. Took the W960i screen protector. The guy offered to cut-it out based on the BOLD's screen and stick it on! He did a splendid job! Now My Bold's got the it's screen protected. hehehe... not too bad. If I'm able to get my hands on the Martin Fields or any other BOLD official screen protector, will change of course.
Now it's the mission to buy 'em accessories. Especially the charging POD!!! C'MON MAXIS & CELCOM!!! 'bout time you sell these here, especially when there are heaps of peeps wanting to buy the BOLD. Heard MAXIS official count for those that reserved the unit was over 1,800 peeps. hehehe...
What are you waiting for MAXIS & CELCOM!!!

Hi, did anyone try setting their Bolds to just 3G only? How's the battery life then. I know that there are a lot of dropped calls with Maxis with your phone on 3G only. I suspect the switching between 2G and 3G is what drains the battery. Do let us know. I have yet to pick up my reserved Bold, today's the last day I think.

any good working GPS solution. BB Maps and Google search functions are crap!
And I cant seem to install wayfinder as it tells me its outside m firewall or something. Strange because I was able to download wayfinder onto my Pearl.
I have a "Secure GC" string on my Security > General Settings. Didnt have that on my Pearl. Anyone else have this? Looks like i have to wipe the Maxis OS and upgrade it - perhaps that will remove it!
