Default Does anyone have just data plan on their BB

Please Login to Remove!

If so what provider are you using and how much is it? I was just told bby a service rep at tmobile that the 29.99 data plan is only available if you have it with a voice plan. But on their website it seems like i could order it with th 29.99 plan by itself and not have a problem. Also on their site they have options for Blackberry Minutes and mail and then a section for individual voice plans and blackberry service, whats the difference between them .

I just have data, I don't talk on the phone much. I have the $39.99 data plan and an add-on for unlimited text and pictures (for IMs) my total bill is $56 a month with T-Mobile.

so you have no minutes at all? I didnt see an option for 39.99, the only option this guy told me was 49.99. Maybe i should just go to the store and check this out. Verizon told me that i could sign up for voice and data and then just call up and cancel the voice and then data would only be 45. At this point thats looking to be the best option.

Minutes are 20 cents, I don't personally need them. I have had phone for a few months and I have used 2 minuets and that was by accident...LOL

Tmo's data only package is $29.99. If you have a voice plan and then get the unlimited BB data ad-on, it's $19.99. Here is their page: BlackBerry e-mail and wireless web
I don't see an option for data only but I'm sure when I bought my BB, it was $29.99 for data only on BIS, not BES.

I currently have a Cingular BIS package. It would be $34.95\mo., without a voice plan, and $29.95\mo with a voice plan. I went ahead and sprung for the "Friends and Family", $9.95\mo addon, with the BIS $29.95\mo plan. My told bill in $39.95\mo.

Wirelessly posted (Cingular-Blue 7290: BlackBerry7290/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/101)

My wife and all my deaf friends with TMobile pay only $29.99 unlimited BlackBerry BIS. They also include 300 SMS text messaging (One of them pays $46/mo on USCellular for ver 1.8 BWC).

One of my friends had a $45 bill, so I looked it up. The weekend sales guy stuck added unlimited text messaging for $15. Honestly, I don't see the point. The 300 freebees would be more than enough for those with regular cellphones contacting him (interpreters, hearing family & friends). So, with his blessing, we unchecked the unlimited text option from his my.tmobile account. $29.99 is all he needs for unlimited BlackBerry (BIS) plan.

Most internet retailers limit their offerings to voice and data packages. Check out http://www.deafpagers.com for data-only packages. (They are located across the street from Gallaudet University in Wash. DC)

Steve, this looks great. Are these prices for real? I mean this is the same blackberry that you would get at tmobile theres nothing special done to it for deaf people?? I was going to have to pay 350 at tmobile but they have it for 100 this is great.

I decided to get a BB 8700g when I visited Gallaudet two weekends ago. I came across the DeafPagers booth and came away impressed with the latest state of BB technology. And yes, I'm on the data plan with T-Mobile. Not bad, and I actually like it.

I have data only with my 7100t, but I have a voice place from Cingular Blue, so it kinda works out, but the only downside is having to carry two devices.

I have the whole package with Verizon, too expensive in my opinion, but my company foots the bill:

1350 anytime minutes + unlimited berry data = 109.99
broadband access connect = 15.00
text messaging = 10.00

comes out to roughly 140.00 every month... i'm trying to get my company to give me a berry through tmobile for data and then use my personal phone, but so far no good...

I administer a BES for work. We set up an account with T-mobile last year and set most of the workers up with data only service through T-mobile. we pay 39.99 per month for them to have data only. Their package does come with 100 SMS mesages per month.

For those who wanted voice plans, they took responsibility in their own name and added a voice plan of their choice. Adding a voice plan dropped the data rate down to $29.99 and removed the SMS messages. I think it ran me about $.15 per SMS message.

I do know that some of the phone only offer a reduced rate if purchased with a voice plan.
