Default EMails

Hi, i have not been receiving all of my company emails and am wondering if others are facing the same problem.

As a guide, on average 6/7 out 10 mails are received and the balance need to be picked up on msoutlook, which means having to start up the laptop to retrieve the mails....and this kinda defeats the purpose of having the bb.

The distributor say you need to complain to the service provider but the problem still persists.

Any solution ?

U go to log in your BIS account and try to send the service book. If this problem still happen you need to try pull out the battery for at least 30 sec.

What OS you are using now?

Many thanks for the response.

I have tried what you have suggested but with not much success.
The problem still persists.

The OS is the original OS that came with the Bold.
Do you think changing he OS would solve it ?

How are you exactly pulling your mails on the BB? Is it via BIS or BES?

A workaround is to have your work mail forward all mails to your BB email address.

Its via BIS.

Following your suggestion, would the outgoing emails come from my work address or BB email address?

do you have any filters active on your blackberry account (mobileemail.vodafone.com.my). It does seem strange that a few emails are being missed out.

On your question of outgoing mail address - if you're replying to the emails that are forwarded to your gmail address, the reply-to email address will be the gmail account. If you forward the email however, you can select which account to forward from and you can then manually select your work email. However, it will show on the forwarded email that the original email was sent to an address different to your work email.

Hope the above isnt too confusing to you.

Actually with mails forward to your BB email address, you can specify your "Reply-To" email address as your work email address (or any other email) and recipients will see this "Reply-To" email instead of your BB email address.

Recipients will only see your BB email address if they see the raw headers of the email. If not it will "appear" as your work email address (or any other email you've specified in this field).

Hope this helps.

No active filter on the account.

Following on my complaints to celcom over the emails, the browser started to fail. After multiple calls to celcom, whereby they ask me to remove the battery, tinker the browser set up etc (all of which failed), i received a call from a company called silver ridge who advised me that the os needed to be upgraded to v4.6.0.162.

After the upgrade, the browser problem went away and the email delivery improved but there is still 2 /3 mails that never came in.

I have checked on the blackberry website that there is a .190 version and was wondering if any users have problems with it. The people at silver ridge said that the os was not "recognised" by celcom yet...
