The skins are great (I got both black and white for me and the wife).
Fit is excellent, feel is great. The crossbar isn't a big issue.

FWIW, the white is translucent, allowing an image (business card cropped) to show through the rear. We both think it is much sweeter than the black.

I ordered the black skin and the screen protector. I am really not liking the trackball movement. I feel the fit needs to move up from the bottom. However, if I do that- I am blocking the speaker.
I am also finding that the skin attracks a lot of debris(lint and fluff etc)
Do you think it would be wise to cut it slightly?
I do like the sreen protector.

I just got my black skin and screen protector. LOVE the Skin. No doubt. Looks Awesome and gives the Pearl a 500% improvement in feel and look.

While my screen protector said for 7100i instead of 8100, I was recalling some claim to being compatible with both... Now I would have to disagree.

Anyway, after following directions it went on very smoothly, but my only gripe with this protector is that it cuts off at the top in the middle of the word Blackberry on the 8100 itself. So the protector plastic edge is visible as the top arch of the skin arcs above it. If the skin wasnt arched, you would not see the edge of the protector...but you wouldnt see the Blackberry brandname.... or if the protector was a bit taller, it would go up under and past the arc on the skin and you wouldnt see any plastic line.... which is the way you would expect this protector to be designed for Seidio.

That was the only disappointment for me. And based on the fact that the plastic bag said 7100i, it is clearly not made specifically for the 8100.

Was I shipped the wrong one? Knowing Seidio's attention to detail on the skin, this is either a "workaround" or I may have been shipped the wrong protector? Looking forward to the clarification...

mine said 7100 as well- at first I thought it was to large but the inside shell peels into a smaller piece- took me a couple of seconds to figure it out-mine fits perfect.

Also received my black and white skin today - for now I have the white on. Very high quality stuff and would recommend it to anyone for a little extra protection. Thumbs up to Seido!

Wow, must be me! IS NO one having trouble with the ball. I really don't know what the heck guys with big fingers are doing. Especially when you have to press the ball to enter something

At first, yes, but it's really not a big deal. Just angle your thumb up when you go up on the trackball. The flap doesn't bother me anymore. I don't even notice that its there.

I find the trackball works fine with the case on, got used to it very quickly. I have to admit the black case does indeed attract dust though, but still very happy with it.
