I have been using my 9700 from TMO and love it, it was hard to part from my 8820 which was rock solid but I am adjusting. The other day head set started to crackle and got worse and worse and I also noticed the ringer and notifications from the speakerphone started to sound bad too...Does the speakerphone and headset use the same speaker driver or something? Weird they both are blown at the same time...

Anyways to get to it I searched but did not have the best luck finding an answer to my question...Is this a common problem with the 9700s? I am hoping not since I did not find much info but just worried about once I get out of warranty and wont be able to do free replacements.

i had a similar problem. my loudspeaker went out and sounded really distorted. i got the device replaced. cant say if its common though...
