Default 3G bands

Please Login to Remove!

Hi

I have my 9700 since 6 months now.

Yesterday i upgraded the OS to 5.0.0.862 and since that moment my device doesnt connect to 3g in my area.

Now in Options -> About -> I have 3G bands 1,2,5,6 before was 3G bands 1,4,8.

I don't have the old version to downgrade to.

Can somebody help me to fix this issue.

Thanks.

Regards.

Upgrading the Os will not change the hardcoded bands.
It may however display in the About page, the wrong information.

How did you upgrade the OS? What process/program did you use?

But why it doesn't work now?

In my area Vodafone uses 900Mhz and doesn't work now.(after the upgrade)

Today I traveled in an area wih 3g in 2100Mhz and works perfect.

Only in 900Mhz doesn't work.

I used the loader that comes with the above release.

It could be you've loaded a Canadian or American OS, where they don't use 900MHz?

The OS doesn't have anything to do with the hardware. I have loaded OS from every carrier onto the 9700 and it continues to work fine.
