When i did all the steps on the first page I opened a lot of memory. However now i have two new icons in my browser. One is Change Date/Time and the other is Device Status.

Not too big of a deal just wondering why they are there now and how i can get rid of them if possible.

How come after I did all this I am not able to find my device? Before I installed the OS and edited it i could plug my BB in and access DM no problem. I installed the OS and edited and, then loaded DM to do the application loader and it will not pick up my BB? Any suggestions?

Also if I choose to install ALL the themes to see what one I like do I have to go through all the editing again or can I just not upload the themes through application loader

You just need to put in the net_rim_theme_xxx that you want. xxx being the carrier.

Default Unlocking AT&T Software

I recently purchased an unlocked AT&T Blackberry 8820, the problem I'm faced with is that when I use email setup wizard it does not give me the option to add my personal email account. It only has the following:-

* I want to use a work email account with Blackberry Enterprise Server

* I want to skip email setup

Could anyone advise me how to unlock or update the AT&T softare so it shows the following:-
* I want to create or add an email address

Welcome to the BBForums.
In the future, create a new thread or post in threads relative to your question.

You need to add the BlackBerry Data Plan to your Vodafone carrier account.

OS 4.5 with the 'upgraded' docs-to-go (Excel editor loaded). Went back and deleted the .COD files. When running desktop manager, it says it will downgrade docs-to-go. With the limited download times of docs-to-go, could be a problem.

Thanks a ton! Erased dozens of MB of useless crap off my BB.

I've only had the thing a week before I had my first lost call log and text messages.

Restart your PC and restart your BB by removing the battery and reinserting.

John - This thread is like a bible to me. absolutely increadible. I've used it and referred to it a ton of times and included links to it in threads for others. Will you be coming out with a new thread for 4.5? I'm waiting for the official 4.5 from Rogers and once it comes out, I may still wait to know that I can safely trim it down. A clean thread from you would be helpful, as well as suggestions on what to trim down. Anyway thx again!!!

Noticed the same thing here. It deletes the Sheets To Go module. I am unable to download again from DataViz. Oh well, haven't really used it at all anyway.

Thank you Mr. Clark for the guide.

I'm trying to remove the pre-installed wallpapers, but I have OS 4.5.0.37 and I don't see a file called "net_rim_bb_media_320x240.cod". What I do see is "net_rim_bb_medialoader_320x240.cod". It's 1.32 MB and I suspect that's the one I gotta delete, but I'm not sure. Can you enlighten me?

I did notice that when I deleted the stock ringtones (net_rim_bb_media_tunebundles_sonicnetworks.cod) that I am left with several non-functioning files in the ringtone list:

BlackBerry 1 (through BlackBerry 6)
Ring 1 (through Ring 6)
UK Ring 1 (through 6)
Nachtmusik
Toreador
Entertainer
WilliamTell

Does anyone know how to remove these from the list?
