Default BB ear speaker broke

Please Login to Remove!

The speaker you use to listen to phone calls has stopped working. I tried a reset taking the battery out and still nothing. I have to use speaker phone to listen to a call. Anybody have any suggestions or had this happen to them? Anything would be helpful...

Mine broke a couple days ago also. Tried reinstalling the OS and resetting all settings to factory default. So I assume it's hardware (and sounds like a common fault!) Anybody know where to get a speaker?

Thanks

Found a long discussion here that basically says it's a bug and many have had success in getting t-mobile to replace the phones.

Cant hear audio when placing / receiving calls - works on speakerphone though - RIM Blackberry Forums - Pinstack.com

BBrepairshop.com - BlackBerry Repair Parts for BlackBerry 8100 Pearl says they might can get a replacement speaker for $25 but no guarantees that'll fix it. They offer free estimates if you send the phone in.
