Default Moving Users to a Different BES

Please Login to Remove!

I just got a second production BES server up and running and am trying to figure out how to move a user to the other BES in its correct state. Can anyone help? I thought the obvious choice would be select the Move User option in the BM console but my other BES server does not appear in the window. The 2 BES servers are using their own MDSE. I have moved 2 users over by just adding them to the new server and doing a new EA but they lose all the info due to having to wipe the device first. And the Db is fresh. So if anyone could help I would appreciate it. Thanks.

you cannot move them from one BES to another unless the configuration database is shared between the servers.

Interesting. I actually was talking with Support and that is kind of what I was told....using the same Db you can move users seemlessly. Using different Db you can import user from a legacy server like in the 2.2 days but you still have to wipe the device....kind of sucks but what do you do. Thanks for your help

you don't HAVE to wipe the device, but for policy to be received and applied to the handheld, you do.

Yeah....and since we enforce policy we do have to.
