I have a blackberry curve 9300, this is my first blackberry, I have a question, it might be stupid, I'm not sure, but like I said I've never owned a blackberry before.

When I recieve and SMS a tone goes off so I know I have a message, but when I get a BBM message there is no tone or vibration.
does every Blackberry do this?
I can't seem to find any settings to change it.

You want "profiles" or "sounds". left top corner of home screen is usually the profiles icon [looks like a speaker]

The profile is on Normal mode i get sound when receiving an SMS but I wanted to know why don't I get sound when I recieve a bbm message

You need to "edit" the profile and go into Blackberry messenger to set it up to tone.
