Het guys,

I bought this car charger off ebay. it is made by HTC but lists that it will fork with Blackberry.

I checked the ratings on the charger and it says 2 amps, however amp rating should be good anything above 1 amp. the device will only take what it needs. Let me know what you think.

I think you should skip this purchase and buy an authentic Blackberry product. But that's just me and I don't trust flebay.

The only difference between authentic and ebay is about 200% more cost. Does anyone know what the car charger rating should be?

I fried a very nice phone with an "aftermarket" charger. Good luck.

I've had several cheap-o chargers that simply died with no explanation. Good luck getting refund or replacement from one of these bargain-basement accessory shops. One replacement and suddenly you've spent the same amount as you would have on an authentic charger. That's no bargain.
