Default blackberry development on non-windows machine ?

Please Login to Remove!

I know you can develop on linux to some extent using wine/winetricks stuff
But I was wondering if their is an RIM component executable available for non windows so you don't have to use window based emulators like wine to develop on linux.

Or maybe RIM component was coded using win32api in that case you are kind or always going to be tied to windows. Or at least thru wine/emulators.

Don't know if somebody knows more about how RIM component was coded to shed some light on this issue.

Not that wine is a problem just that I would much prefer not using windows or wine in the process of developing.

Note I am more interested in knowing if the RIM components are tied to the win32 or other dependent libraries or if it could be freely recompiled to a linux executable with no ties to windows libraries or OS specific stuff
