BB Alerts seems to work fine for missed calls, but it does not seem to be working at all for missed text messages.

In BB Alerts Application Options I have:
Audio Type - Profile
Alert Repeat Frequency - 1 Minute
Color Scheme - Purple/Green
Then I have checked the following:
Notify on Missed Call
Notify on Missed SMS
Notify on VoiceMail
Notify on Calendar Reminder
Vibrate on Alert
And I have it set to "Always Alert"


Then in the Profile setting under the active profile (Loud), when I select BB Alerts I have set as follows:
Out of Holster - Vibrate+Tone
Ring Tone - Notifier_Eager
Volume - High
Number of Beeps - 3
Repeat Notification - None (I did have this to Repeat Flashing but read somewhere that w/BB alerts you should set it to none)
Number of Vibrations - 2

In Holster - Vibrate+Tone
Ring Tone - Notifier_Eager
Volume - High
Number of Beeps - 3
Repeat Notification - None
Number of Vibrations - 2


So, as I said it works for missed calls, but it doesn't work for missed Text Messages. It doesn't flash the LED or Play the selected Beep every minute. Oh yeah, I have a Verizon Blackberry Curve 8330 if that helps. Thanks for any info you can give me to get it working.

In your BBAlerts options, do you have Program Controls LED checked?

And, Popup on Noticification?

Programs Controls LED - doesn't have a check box - it has 4 options (None, Status, Trackball, Both) - I have Status selected.

I do not have "Pop-up on Notification" checked as I assumed that's just a little pop-up box that would not affect the Audio/Vibrate Alert which is what I"m most interested in having.

i have this same problem

everything is configured right, i have checked dozens of times but still, no luck getting it to flash the color it is set to. this is the only thing stopping me from buying this app... sms is99% of my phone usage so it would be a big help. any ideas or suggestions? who should i contact about this (i think it's a) bug

I had this happen to me as well, I simply re-installed via the OTA link and it worked again..
