For some reason I cannot get the light in the Trackball to work.

Maybe I am missing some settings, can some one help with the correct settings for the trackball light.

Sounds like its broken as the trackball on my Curve 8310 is always lit when using the device

A few things.

1. rishialpy, welcome to the forums, but please don't post for the sake of posting. Not trying to be rude, but we already know the light is broken because of the OP, No reason to say it again.

2. Go to options>screen/keyboard. Where it says automatically dim make sure it says off. If trackball doesn't turn on after that then you have a broken LED and you should contact CS for an exchange.

It was the automatic dim now set to off.

Should it only light at night (or when it is dark) or should it light up all the time. ????

If the automatic dim is set to off it should light up all the time. If it is set to on it should light up in a dark environment and not light up when in a bright environment.

I have my setting to auto dim off, but my keyboard and trackball don't light up all the time- i wish they did, if i hold my finger over the ear piece, it turns on. most of the time.

Is the keyboard and trackball separate of the screen for the auto dim feature?
