Default 2 x BES Lookup issues

Please Login to Remove!

We currently have 2 seperate BES servers (4.1.7 and 5.0.1) with diffirent databases, etc.

We're doing a slow migration of users using the Transporter tool and everything has been going smoothly until I noticed something today.

It doesn't appear that you can do a lookup of a user on the opposite BES as you and get PIN information? The lookup works for email, but not PIN. If I do it for someone on the same BES server it's fine.

Is there a way around this?

As long as you are looking up a contact that is also a BES user that resides in the same BlackBerry Domain (aka same BESMgmt database) as your activated device, than you will be able to retrieve the PIN. For users in another BlackBerry Domain, PIN will NOT be returned from the lookup.

Simple Reason: You BES will not be able to know how to "jump" to the other BlackBerry Domain and pull out the PIN number.
