Default Difficulty with Bi-Directional Conversation, Delay issue?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all,

Since getting my blackberry I've noticed it's difficult to carry on a "normal" two way conversation where you are able to start talking at appropriate pauses vs. waiting for dead silence. It seems that the other person doesn't hear you until they've started saying the next word and it appears that you've interrupted them. This is especially annoying because I use my Blackberry is my primary business phone.

This has never been a problem for me before, and I've had cell phones for 13 years!

Does anyone else experience this?

Never experienced this on a regular basis. I would say it happens to me 1/25 calls though.

Quick update, I'm also having this problem with brief interjections or laughter. You know how a person says something funny and you chuckle? Or they're telling you something and you want to acknowledge and encourage them to continue so you say "uh-hu" or "right" or "yes..." etc. Even those interjections seem to be out-of-synch and contrary to their intended purpose they cause the other person to stop vs. continue.

It's almost like talking on a short-wave radio. I have to wait for dead silence before saying anything. Of course, when I do this the other person sometimes asks "are you still there?". GRRRRR
