Looks like SE may be keeping the goodies to their new "flagship" "smart"phone.

The download of BB Connect for P990i is still of version 3 on their website.

I tried this version 4 on my P990i and recieved a "Illegal Device Pin"

This official BB Connect is same as the one pre-installed on my P1i. It works (BIS) I don't have BES and so I don't know how good it is with BES

I am a complete newby to Blackberry so sorry if this is a dumb question. I have a new W950i and installed Blackberry Connect and desktop software from SE website, we are using BES at work.
I followed the installation instructions but when I connect the status eventually indicates "Packet Data Available".
From searching the web the message seems to be that this indicates that the SIM in my phone is not set up for BB data (I currently have a standard voice, txt and data package). I have spoken to Orange (domestic and business) and got rather disapointing responses ranging from "Blackberry what?" to "Dont know, might be work".
Do I need a special BB data package from Orange or should BBC and BES talk via my standard data package? Please help.

you need a BB plan for your line.
