I have just started using my new 9000 and have noticed that when I go to recent calls, in the "my number" section the number is totally wrong.
Why is this? Does this mean that the phone is used and that is the other person’s number?
Go to Options->Advanced Options->SIM Card, scroll down and highlight the phone number, hit Menu->Edit SIM Phone Number and change to the correct number, then hit Enter/Return key. Will say "Writing" and you will see the new number in the Phone Number field. Hit the Green phone button and the number should have changed.

Thatxxx8217;s great thanks, but why would it have the wrong number in the first place? If it is new shouldnxxx8217;t it be blank or show my correct number?
edit: that is kinda strange though.. never heard of a situation like that before. :|
oh hello kirrin, nice to see a face to the name :D

Could be something within the programming of the phone.... I'm not sure how AT&T works, but with US Cell if you type in the wrong number in programming then it will show the incorrect "my number" or voicemail number. Just a thought?
It should be pulling the info off the SIM. I make changes to the number as I posted above, and it's reflected in the My Number on the BB and when I swap the SIM to another phone. No idea as to why it was wrong, though, that IS strange. Bad initial setup on the part of the service provider, maybe?
