Never really noticed a problem with the ringer volume level as I keep mine on medium. However, tried the tones in advanced settings for the phone and couldn't really tell any difference between medium and loud. Hope this helps.

I have been using it for the past couple of days and it seems to be OK. I did however had a random reboot when I launched the calculator Saturday. But since a battery pull, have not seen that happen again yet. All my apps seem to run good so far.

Well it updated but silly me didnt see a backup option pop up, so everything was lost, with my faves and BBM, luckily I did do a auto backup and got my address book and calendar back. Ringtones and pics are all gone, oh well! live and learn. Time to rebuild! lol

Install went fine, noticed that it reset my theme application hierarchy but it might just be a coincidence since it updated that as well. I've noticed that I have a little more free space on fresh reboot (battery pull) and the ever present memory leak in OS 4.5 isn't as bad. I have noticed that it tends to not go full EDGE or UMA after fresh reboot sometimes, but a hot reboot (Alt+R Shift+Del) seems to fix that.

I did the update for a friend's 8310 on my laptop. She is not getting her emails pushed. When she uses her email setup it errors out that it can't connect. I deleted the vendor file. Could the software have gotten "confused" because I still had the Pearl (my phone) firmware on the computer, too? Any ideas on how to fix this?
Wrong thread sorry. Moving

Does anyone know what problems this new version address's in the new OS? .110 is working like a charm right now for me. Was just looking to get some info.
Will probably upgrade soon.

I have noticed it is a little better, still there but not as bad from what I have seen. When I first did the update saw a huge jump in memory, I have had installed for several weeks now and have not had to do a battery pull or soft reboot yet. Give it shot, remember you can always go back to .110

Perhaps, and I may be wrong, but you profile says 8120. You do have a BB8320???
BTW Could someone upload the file to a directlink.

Can't get a direct link for you, but i can put it on my 4shared.com account, no membership needed to download, just have to wait like 30 or 60 seconds before you are allowed to download it. Let me know if that will work for you.

Uninstall the .124 from your PC from Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel.
