Default OS 9700 5.0.0.726/5.0.0.442 (Multilanguage and EastAsian)

Please Login to Remove!

BlackBerry Handheld Software v5.0.0.726 (Multilanguage and EastAsia)

Package Version: 5.0.0.726
Consisting of:

* Applications: 5.0.0.442
* Software Platform: 5.1.0.121
* File name: 9700M_PBr5.0.0_rel726_PL5.1.0.121_A5.0.0.442_Zain_ Jordan.exe
* File size: 130.98MB

Note: The Software Platform and Applications version numbers can be found under Options-About screen on the handheld.

* Download Software:
Multilanguage OS: https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads...CF9BC82D2FC19F

EastAsia Langauge OS: https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads...4B931C35A169B0

Instructions for installing on ANY carrier's 9700:

1. Download the above OS file to the PC then install it to the PC by running (double clicking) the file you downloaded.
2. Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
3. Plug in BB and double click on "Loader.exe." It's located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

The process takes about 45 minutes to an hour depending on how much data you have to backup and restore during the process. Once it's done loading the new OS it will reboot (it may do this twice during the entire process.) You will see a white screen with an hourglass for up to 20 minutes at a time while the DM says "waiting for initialization."
If, for some reason, you end up with a white screen with small icons and the number 507, simply connect to the PC again and run Loader.exe again, and it should load the OS to the device.

For the previous OS, see this link: http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...east-asia.html

Only obvious difference I see is about 8 Meg more memory available. Everything is working fine.

I am unable to get my handset to update!

I have tried the last 2 OS releases and both dont work. I am just shown a list of my 3rd party applications which are already checked. If I uncheck them, they are removed.

The current OS is:
v5.0.0.351 (Platform 5.1.0.98)

I did not forget to delete the vendor.xml file.

Hi I have curve 8320 and it was hard decision for me to choose 9000 or 9700. I went to A and AT store and played both. I still like old Bold 9000 because it is a bigger and neat platform and so beautiful. 9700 is so small like curve. Do you like 9700 newer one?

I just know that 9700 runs little faster, more memeroy like 32mb and 9000 is 16gb. what else? 3.2 camera which is not important to me.

Is that all 9700 changed for those things? you can BIM me
24246b3e to answer my questions, the faster if u wish.
thanks
