I have a Mexico 4 build. there are a few bugs which I have discovered this morning. I have a slight wiggle which seems like it is getting progressively worse. I have also noticed a couple bugs with the latest software release from rogers. I am getting a Java Error on the MSG's Screen Also the the text Messages Screen. I am unable to send TXT MSG's getting a big fat red X. But can receive them. On BBM the Status Update a crossed the top has gone MIA. I am returning it to Rogers after work.

mexico4, minimal screen wiggle.... hell, its gotta have SOME. vertical movement on touchpad isnt as smooth/consistent as horizontal. build .246 seemed to fix this a little, however vert is still not as smooth as horizontal.
My first torch was a mexico4 as well. The data traffic on it stopped working, couldnt even PIN itself. I had it two days, I didnt even bother trying to upgrade it.

Mexico 5
A little wiggle and 'screen tap'. When I type on the screen, it sort of bangs against the base a bit. Somewhat annoying and I'm wondering if I should go to the ATT store and see if they all do that or not...

Mexico 5.
I'm swapping it for another one as the trackpad sucks (relative to my 9700) despite adjusting its sensitivity. Also, the 'e', 'u' and 'i' keys do not physically 'click' when I press them causing me to double-click them thinking I missed the keys.

Started out with a Mexico5, returned it because the headphone jack would stop working. Got a Mexico4, and the end and go back keys got stuck, had to pull the battery to end a call. Got another Mexico5 and have had the headphone issue again. which I now believe is nothing more than software issues.
Im hoping this one is going to be good for a while. I feel kind of crappy taking the phones back.

I would take it back, but they probably won't do anything because you've past your 14 days. I'd take it in anyway.

1st Torch, Mexico 5, some wiggle left-right and top-bottom, unresponsive track-pad (DOA, returned after 1 day)
2nd Torch, Mexico 5, some wiggle left-right and top-bottom, touchscreen tracking gone after about 8-9 days (DOA, returned after 12 days)
3rd Torch, Mexico 4, no wiggle at all, very good response (while it worked), completely died after 3 hours of use (DOA, returned after 3 hours)
4th Torch, Mexico 5, some wiggle left-right and lots of wiggle top-bottom (always feels like you are double clicking), touchscreen not tracking after about 2 hours of use (DOA, returned after 5 hours)
5th Torch (the one I am using now), Mexico 4, some wiggle left-right, feels more solid than the previous four DOA phones, no other problems so far.
I had quite literally 100% failure rate first four phones. I do not trust the build quality of these devices at all.

Re: Where was your 9800 made, and what build issues do you have?
Hi I am new to the forum and to owning a Blackberry having owned Nokias, Sony Ericssons, Motorolas in the past. I have NEVER returned a phone but I upgraded to a Blackberry Torch 9800 a few weeks ago and have exchanged the phone 6 times so far. All of the issues have been hardware related, from peeling paint, very wobbly sliders to an ultra sensitive lock button. As far as I can remember all are Mexico4 builds. The latest replacement came today and it too is a Mexico4 build but the date is recent 23-11-10 and so far all seems to be ok, virtually no-wobble, all buttons seem to work fine so fingers crossed that all will be fine for the next 18 months of my contract! Oh just a wobble/wiggle solution open the slider and gently bend the base upwards very slightly. This sounds brutal but it does eliminate an amount of "tap bounce" saves putting pieces of sticky paper into phone.

Mexico 5 here. Disappointed, wished it had been a Canada unit. No issues.

What does this fix specifically and can you post a pic of the solution?
