Everything appears at least as good as .247. The browser seems to be slightly quicker. I gained about 3 mb in application memory but I have several apps installed. So far this seems to be a good OS but not necessarily leaps and bounds over .247.

I don't seem to have that problem.

Been using it since this afternoon.
*Browser seems quicker.
*No lag (I had that problem in .237, not too often though)
*Battery seems a tad bit better
*Gained a bit of app memory.
*Pic thumbnails open really quick
Seems a good build so far.

I hope that there will be an official release soon... .247 is good but it's eating the battery of my bold like a cookie monster

that's why even though .247 was an official release i didn't take it. i was on .237 and it's been a blessing. .266 seems really good so far, i've been using it for 24 hours without any *real* problems. and battery seems good.

I have only been running .266 for about 24 hours now, so a bit early for any conclusions. It 'feels' slightly snappier, had a few more megs after battery pull, battery life too early to judge but does not seem to be worse than .247.

All 3rd party applications are working for me; no negatives so far.

I updated last night and haven't seen any issues either. All 3rd party apps running fine. I haven't had the speakerphone whistle yet that i was getting on .247 so we will see how that goes. The only thing I have noticed is I get the white screen when I have an email and pull out of the holster almost every email I receive now. Kind of annoying, but hitting the back button brings me back. Memory loss is the same as .247 for me. Started a little over 40 and today I am down to 30 already. Overall, not too shabby, I am just waiting for a new 5.0 to come out.

Ditto!

I have had it for about 36 hours and battery life definately seems increased over xx.247 for myself.

I tried installing it last night and Google Maps wouldn't work, after a battery pull Google Maps would crash after the device started up. The same thing happened seven consecutive times. I'm back to .247

That's odd, all my apps work as flawlessly as they did while on .247, including Google Maps.

Sounds very much like a permissions issue.

Google Maps doesn't auto-start on device startup, are you sure it was Google Maps?

Favourite build. ever.

Battery life seems much better than .247, probably 30% better.
Super fast thumbnails on picture viewing similar to the OS 5.0 beta
Feels "lighter", faster in application
And it retains my favourite part of 5.0, you can now delete music from the memory card when browsing your music.

Google Maps auto-starts if you are using Latitude, and all permissions were set to allow. I'm not sure what the issue was but I can wait for the next build.

I use Google Maps latest version and I use Latitude and it absolutely does NOT auto-start. When you exit Google Maps set it to suspend sharing and it will shut down.

Or try uninstalling it and reinstalling and before running it, do a battery pull.

As a followup to my earlier post, battery live does seem improved, after 48ish hours. Memory leak rate about the same, perhaps a tad worse but this could be based on app useage. I counted my apps in Options/AdvancedOptions/Applications, and I am running 51 third party apps, lol.

No negatives to report.

Loving this version.

Much smoother and faster in transitions.... No lag at all. Battery and memory seem about the same.
