Default Blackberry Battery

Please Login to Remove!

I have Blackberry Curbe (8520) and I charge it to Full before unplugging the charger but 1-2 days later, the battery dies and I have to recharge, but on my other phone, I can use it for 1 week and it still has battery, what stuff do I need to disable on the Blackberry to get more battery out of it?

BlackBerry devices are different from other devices. 1 - 2 days of battery life is GOOD battery life and sounds normal. You are not going to get a week worth of battery life on a BlackBerry. Just plug it in every night and you won't have to worry about it.

Don't let the battery get below 20% on a regular basis or you will damage it. Lithium batteries do not like to run down.

What you got on another phone is not an indicator of what you will get on this device. They are all different.

For better life, read this from our FAQ: Maximum Battery Life - BlackBerryFAQ

What "other phone" lasts a week on a single charge? I'm guessing a basic flip phone. Definitely not a smartphone.

I have turned the Blackberry brightness to the lowest but sometime it goes bright for about 30 secs and then go back to dim, how do I always keep it on dim?

P.S - Will the battery apps help or will it use more battery? and charge the phone when it hits 1 bar?

Did you read the FAQ article I posted?

And did you read my post? Don't let it get below 20% on a regular basis. Keep it topped up when you are in your office, home or car.

Battery apps won't help. But try them and see what results you get.

keep in mind the battery app is running also and will need power. seems like a waste but who knows one may help depending on the things your running.

My settings are Backlight Brightness: 10 and Backlight Timeout: 10 Sec and Automatically Dim Backlight: On and LED Coverage Indicator: Off, is this the best options to save battery?

P.S - Which theme uses less battery?

They are all mostly the same. The brightness settings should help.

Some themes have more icons and stuff at Home and in the menu, so that doesn't use more battery? and charge the phone when it only has 1 bar remaining?

Should really do not need to obsess about the battery as much as you are obsessing.

Charge the device whenever you want. Early and often is good. Try not to let it get below 20%.
