What is it for? I'm not sure why, but I've been getting the alerts about 1 a day for the past 4 or 5 weeks. At first, I wasn't sure what the sound was for, then I had to go through all the alerts to find out what it was for. I'm assuming its an default setting because I did not assign that sound to it.
What is it trying to tell me?

If you have subscribed to a browser push like weather or something like the fox news alert, and you have a tone or vibrate enabled in profiles for browser, then you will get a browser alert when it updates. Another trigger will be if you save a request to your message folder from the browser. The alert will be triggered when the page is downloaded.

Thank you so much. At first I had no idea what the alert was for. With some help on these boards it was suggested that it was a browser alert. But I still had no idea why it was going off. Now I do! Yay!

Same here. Come to find out that it's that weather app that was pushed to my phone that I can't delete. Once I click on the icon, the LED stops blinking.

If it is an app you installed, such as weather bug or weather eye, then un-install/delete it. Go to options/advanced options/applications, or options/applications, depending on your OS version.

If it is a push service you subscribed to, go to http://mobile.blackberry.com with your blackberry browser, and unsubscribe.

After you unsubscribe, open bookmarks, scroll to the bottom, and delete the link.

I did that a couple years ago, and its still being pushed to my phone. It's the Accuweather app. I subscribed to it then, but it wasn't what I wanted, so I unsubscribed. As a matter of fact, when I go to it using your method, it asks me to subscribe. I have to open the app, then choose unsubscribe, which has not worked. It always tells me that I'm unsubscribed, yet it still comes through constantly.
Its just one of those things I've learned to live with.

This may help with the pesky subscription.

I have never installed apps such as these so I don't know the answer to your question... I found that link searching for something else and thought it might assist you.
