Default synching with multiple computers

Please Login to Remove!

I tried a search on this and only found 1 thread that didn't really help. I want to sync my Curve with my home and work computers. Both are Windows XP based and both have Microsoft Office on them. Is there a way to do this and is there any bad effects that can happen? My reason for doing it is I have stuff I add to Calenders both at work and home and it would be nice to have it constantly updated. Also, even though I don't plan on getting fired I don't want to have all my info on my work computer just "in case" something should happen. Please let me know!

Right now you can only sync the default calendar. So is you did this everything on the home would be on the work and vis versa.

I do this with three computers - my office desktop, my home computer, and my laptop. The handheld does OTA syncing of work email and calendar with my company's BES. My main motivation for doing this is that I want to have one set of contacts regardless of the device I am using - and in the unlikely event that I changed employers I would still have all of my contact info. However, this only syncs my handheld calendar to the office desktop because the handheld is configured for wireless sync. The default services for address book, calendar, and messaging are my desktop.

Even though work is using a BES, be sure when you set up Desktop Manager on the home pc, you set it up as BIS. Otherwise, you get somehow "disconnected" from the BES.

So How do you sync between the BES on the work computer and the BIS on the Home Computer. I am running BDM v4.6 and when I try to sync it tells me that it is set for wireless sync and therefore disables the sync for the calendar, address book, and tasks. I would like to be able to have specifically my contacts and calendars all in sync between the BES at work, my Desktop at home, and my BB. Step by step instructions would be great. Thanks for your help

I appreciate your signature at the bottom of your post. I also sink with three computers, my laptop, and two desktops. One at home and one at my office. The only problem I have had is that I often end up with duplicate appointments in my Outlook calender. Not all, just some appointments tend to duplicate. Go figure.
