I use the bolt browser, seems faster to me on my bold. My girlfriend prefers opera on her huron (8820). Use used bolt for awhile and then went to opera, she likes the interface better and she says it loads faster. I'm guessing therefore that its all about individual preference. Try them both for a week and then make your decision. I think the blackberry brower is slow.

Really depends on the connection and the service you have. Opera uses proxy servers so it may appear faster, but might not really be.

I think that Bolt is slower than my standard BB browser.

Every time you go back and forth on a page it loads from scratch with no obvious time savings from cache.

It does do a better job at displaying websites though, but I use mostly mobile optimized sites anyway.

No I do not think so because the program would be set to only scroll so many lines per unit of input (clarified answer needed) from the trackball.

I went from using Opera Mini to using the Bolt browser. I fine that it is much faster and the navigation around the page is alot better as well. But its all based on preference. Personally I think Opera Mini and the Bolt browser are better than the native Blackberry browser. Anytime I have to download something OTA I muste use my Blackberry broser for the download prompt to appear...using Opera mini and bolt doesn't work for downloading apps for some weird reason. It's probably just something im missing but dont care too much becuase it barely affects me. Anyways yea, Bolt browser for me!

hit 2 to go up and 8 to go down - a page at a time - still faster than trackball

Opera Mini. Opera Mini is faster than BB Browser. More user-friendly than Bolt (better, more intuitive controls). I use Opera Mini.

I still use my BB browser, with all the settings turned on. I like it slow!

you`ve gotta give credit for bolt`s performance seeing that it`s just the beta version....
but i suggest you go with opera

Bolt is good, but still feels very beta. UI, etc. kind of weak and no OTA download capability. I'm not sure it's any faster than Opera, though it does handle full web pages a bit better.

I just find Opera a bit nicer to use. And, for me, being able to sync bookmarks is a nice feature so I can move between phones (even non-BB phones) and still have all my bookmarks.
