Dose anyone switch between two or more BB's on a somewhat frequent basis? For exmaple IF you had two 8100's and wanted to use one most of the time but say on weekends you wanted to use a differnt one, after obviously exchanging SIMS, you need to go to the website and execute the change handset routine. I have done the switch handset routine when I've upgraded from one device to another and the change is practically instantaneous. If I were to do this on a regular basis, is/will there be issues with this?

The website to use depends on your carrier. I use Cingular which is www.cingular.com/blackberrystart. As I recall when I had Tmo, it was an option from the My T-Mobile page, or something like that. BTW- this is for email only. If you have 3rd party apps installed, you may need to change your PIN with them as well.
He is correct. Almost all 3rd party apps use the BB PIN to license their product... Changing handsets almost always requires changing this (pin) too or even having to have two copies
No issues with RIM, they do not impose limit on number of device switches or frequency.
3rd party apps and even blackberry own IM is different story. As long as you are using blackberry just for emails and web browsing you should be fine for sure.
