I would rerun the loader.exe. I prefer that method.

If the PC recognizes it, 507 should allow the software to be installed. You tried with loader.exe?

So I have a loaner and now just waiting for my replacement from my company to get here

Okay, we are getting somewhere

I found the icon in the download folder. I moved it to the Home screen.
I launched it, and received: "Provisioning is unsuccessful. To resolve this issue, contact your wireless service provider"

I do have vvm enabled on my account already.

Thanks again for your help and patience!

Cheers,

jon

I got the same thing when I upgraded. It seemed to fix itself when I called and left myself a voicemail. After that, I was able to launch VVM without getting the "Provisioning unsuccessful" message.

Yes, I tried with loader.exe. I actually use that every time I upgrade.

What exactly happens, is it goes through the backup and when it tries to Connect to ROM, it connects(XP plugging in sound) and then disconnects (XP unplugging sound). It tries twice and then fails.

Yes if BBVV is on your accout, then calling your VM should fix this.

And you have tried all the various wipe programs. BBSAK etc. To wipe it, reset to factory, and then try again. Skip the backup just for time.

You mean the same member that had already posted his device was locking up just two posts above yours asking if anyone was having device lockups? Amazing. Why you couldn't read that post before is beyond me, though.

Can anyone help?

You may have to give yourself rights by going into the properties of the parent folder and selecting the security tab.

By any chance are you using Windows 7? If so you'll have to move the file to a different folder, then edit it and move it back. For some reason it won't let you edit files in the Program Files directory.

I use Windows 7 and I able to edit them with no problem. You just have to add yourself to the security tab in the Folder Properties.
