Default DM fails to connect to 8330 after OS upgrade to 4.5.077

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

After doing extensive research on whether to upgrade my OS from 4.3.127 to 4.5.077, I decided to give it a shot. I downloaded DM 4.5 and OS 4.5.077 from the "official" Verizon website and initiated the upgrade. At the end of the OS upgrade, I received a "warning" that I would have to do a restore to finish. Once everything was done, I tried to connect my device to DM and received the message, "Failed to connect to the device...Make sure that the device is properly connected and try again." Well, I did try again but to no avail. I attempted to research the issue but was unable to locate any specific info about the problem. The end result of the upgrade was that all of my programs were on my BB, but no contacts, appointments, and other personalized settings.

Anyway, since I was having these problems, I tried to go back to OS 4.3 and DM 4.3. I uninstalled the newer DM and reinstalled the old version. Unfortunately, when I try to connect my device, I get the same "Failed to connect message."

As it stands now, I have OS 4.5.077 on my BB but I am unable to "restore" it or "sync" my calendar and contacts.

As you all may have guessed, I rely heavily on my device and really need it back up and running ASAP, restored and synced to its original glory.

I ask that someone please help me.

Thank you.

Default

Wirelessly posted (T-Mobile BB 8320 OS 4.5.0.81)

Do you have a backup of your application data? If yes (or no but you won't get any data back), wipe and reinstall, then run the Restore process under Backup/Restore in DM.

Default May have it working now

I think I fixed it. I reinstalled DM 4.5 and managed to restore my device. Now when I try to sync it, I get a message "No Applications have been configured for synchronization."

Any thoughts on how to synchonize my device?
