Is there a way to choose which contacts from Outlook (I have a huge database of contacts - over 10,000) I import into my BB contacts? Is there a way to toggle which contacts to import?

If you're using Desktop Manager you can. Just select Configure PIM > Address Book from Intellisync and Configure > Advanced Settings. Select the Filters tab and create a rule based on any field (such as Categories) or use the provided "Private" filter if that works for you.

I don't know about BES.
