No, that cleared it up. So this isn't the Vodaphone build which is app version .37 and build version .52

So....is the rumored 8300 version of this "new" OS release build version .52 with app version .37 or build version .75 with app version .52...and if .75/.52 exists for the 8300, is it truly in the wild, searchable, downloadable, and installable? (whew! had to stop for air after that)

Oh my geez Betty! This is .75/.52. Not .52/.37. It's been produced for all GSM 8xxx devices. It's not "supposed" to make it's way out to anywhere until a carrier releases it for install.

No betty's here! and I *do* understand that it's not *supposed* to leak out into the downloadosphere... Just that my Curve is aching for an upgrade, and I don't want to disappoint it...

Summer is getting busy, and if I stop obsessing over a complete 4.5 release I might actually get some work done and find that the official release comes out pretty soon anyway...

Ok, so I downloaded and installed 4.5 on my bb 8310 (att) It works fine. However, the Desktop manager v. 4.5 does not seem to recognize outlook as an option for synching. I reinstalled 4.2.2, which came with my phone. The calendar is acting hinky--doesn't show appointments, yet will not let me put any in the same place without a microsoft warning, i already have an appt. there. go figure. I am trying to resolve this without going back to 4.2.2 on my bb. Help if you can, pray for me if you can't---frustration is growing. I am fairly new to bb, having only had it a few months, so anything I do gives me the willies....like i'm gonna crash the whole thing. Technology--not for the faint of heart or anyone over 50!. Thanks.

No PMs, emails, etc on where I got it, or asking me for a copy. I got it thru proper channels.

I'd be happy to check on certain features/fixes if you'd like.
Auto dim feature, when set to OFF, does it still light up? or does it stay at its set OFF brightness?
