Did you figure this out?

The only explanation that occurs to me is that if you are able to log in on the website then you aren't entering what you think you are entering when you log in on the BlackBerry. Maybe you are doing something like pressing the sym key when you think you are pressing the cap key, or you think you are entering a number when you are entering a letter...something along those lines.

Or, have you had any keypad issues with the BlackBerry, such as multiple characters or wrong characters when you press a key?

Of course it could have been a network problem.

Post an update when you get a chance.

I'm not sure. First time I start a device and connect to the network, I think I just see a login screen prompting for email address and password as shown at the following link.

Log in with your BlackBerry ID - User Guide - BlackBerry App World Storefront - 2.0

Did you perhaps see this screen first?

Okay. I can bring up that screen from device options. That is for editing your BlackBerry. ID details. You need the login screen.

When you launch app world, what happens? Are you prompted to log in with your BlackBerry ID or not?

When i click on Blackberry App World it loads the app screen, i dont have to log in and i can search for Apps + FAVORITE APPS, GAMES Apps,, And i now see my world tab if i click on that
my world, it shows apps Ive downloaded and blackberry messenger which i updated this morning

I can click on My Account and i get Payment Options manage your preferred method of payment for Blackberry App which if i click on i have 3 choices of payments including Pay Pal,

also Content Controls and a return to home screen tab

does this Help

PS what is a Blackberry Data Plan? if that is what your provider or carrier provides so you can access blackberry services yes i think so

It sounds to me like you have logged in on the handset. If you had not, then you would have been prompted to do so when you launched app world, I think; but definitely you would not see your populated My World screen if and until you were logged in. Caveat: If the handset is logged in with someone else's ID, then you would be seeing their My World.

A BlackBerry data plan is data service specifically for BlackBerry, not a regular mobile data plan. If you are able to use the BlackBerry data apps like BBM, etc., then their is a BlackBerry data plan active on the line of service that the handset is using.
