I loaded 6.0.0.448 onto my 9700 last night,but can't seem to get rid of all these trial app links (Allsport GPS, Traffic, PrimeTime2Go, etc). Does anyone know how to remove them from the OS?

Most of the time, if you delete the carrier apps, your carrier will just push them back. Keep in mind that they aren't installed until you click on them. If you want to not see them, just use the "Hide" feature and get them out of your sight.

I guess I'll give that a shot. I'm just really tired of looking at them, and I'm not sure if they take up any space or not.

I have about ten on my ATT 9700 and I did just that, moved them to one folder and then just used the hide feature.

They don't take up any room, as they are less than 4kb each. Move them all to a folder, and hide the folder, and you won't see them anymore.
