Default BB Won't Browse

Please Login to Remove!

I got a Tour from Sprint last Friday. In that time, I have managed to use the browser once, on Sunday. Outside of that, it won't browse. It tries and then tells me "Connection to the server timed out".

I gave it to my admin (I'm director of IT where I work) to see if he would have any better luck. He got with Sprint with no luck but, after, managed to get it to browse by doing a wipe and redoing the enterprise activation. The only reason I know he was successful is he handed it to me with the browser open to MSN.com. I got out of the browser, went back in and it would no longer browse.

Everything else works ... email, phone as a modem, even the links to facebook and nfl live worked to download and install those apps. It's just the browser.

I'm out of ideas to troubleshoot this. I don't really know the underworkings of the blackberry so I'm hoping someone here can run me through some lower level troubleshooting to see if we can find the problem.

If you have suggestions, please feel free.

Did you try a battery pull ? That seems to fix many issues.

Are you on BES? If so, perhaps the IT Policy is preventing it?

Yes, pulling the battery was the first thing I did.

Yes, we are on BES. I'm certain it's not the IT policy. This BB is a replacement for my 8830 and browsing worked just find on that. Additionally, we got another Tour today for one of our sales guys and it's browser works fine. They're both hooked to the same BES and there is only one IT policy.

I've also upgraded to the latest OS available for my device (no leaked OS versions here), cleared my cache and updated the profile and preferred network list though Options --> mobile network.

Thanks.

Delete yourself from the BES, wipe the device and perform a new EA.

Thank you for all your suggestions. It turns out to have been a problem within our BES itself. I rebooted that server this morning and now I can browse.

Dubdub ... you have a nice faq linked. I'll be finishing reading through that in order to familiarize myself with some of the more technical techniques.
